Ian Tran

Physiotherapist

Ian set up Transform Sports and Spinal after years of working in the private and public sector. His aim was to build a clinic on the foundations of professionalism, enthusiasm and continued adherence to the most up to date research and treatment in healthcare. Ian graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000 with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy. He then worked in a rural setting doing both private practice and public hospital physiotherapy. In 2002, Ian traveled to the United Kingdom to further expand his knowledge and skills as a physiotherapist. It was during this time that he worked with clients ranging from elite rugby teams to mentally disabled children in the community. He also worked for a short period as an auditor of physiotherapy services for a London based community health service. He then traveled to the United States where he worked in the Colorado snowfields before returning to Australia. In 2005 Transform Sports and Spinal Clinic opened its door to the public with the idea of providing a multi-disciplinary centre providing a wide variety of services. These include physiotherapy, myotherapy and podiatry. Recently, Transform has expanded to include rooms at the recently constructed Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre, which is the largest aquatic centre in the western region of Melbourne. With a community focus and international experience, Ian hopes to continue providing exceptional health care for his clients.
